NEXUS in Vienna at PescaDOLUS Fisheries Crime Research Workshop (September 2017)

VIENNA, AUSTRIA, 27 September 2017 – NEXUS Senior Researcher Rebecca Surtees joined 22 experts, researchers and academics from various disciplines at the first PescaDOLUS dedicated fisheries crime research workshop (FishSEARCH), which was funded by the Nordic Council of Ministers with the support of the Norwegian Ministry of Trade, Industry and Fisheries, the UNODC and the North Atlantic Fisheries Intelligence Group (NA-FIG). During the workshop, participants shared research ideas, questions and insights around the multifaceted topic of fisheries crime. The FishSEARCH workshop followed the 3rd International Fisheries Crime Symposium (FishCRIME 2017).

PescaDOLUS is an independent international policy and research initiative formed in 2014, which provides a platform to bring together experts to exchange ideas, identify research questions and seek innovative inter-disciplinary solutions around criminal activities in fisheries.
